THE DEITY OF GOD

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all God. They are three different people, but the three are one. The three constitute the Trinity of God. The word Trinity does not appear in the Bible, but it is the way in which the union and relationship between the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are understood. A comparison is like the day that has morning, afternoon and night; but it is a single day, they are not three different days. In this way, it is the same God in three different persons. The Father is the first person of the Trinity, the Son is the second person, and the Holy Spirit is the third person. The Father is eternal, the Son is eternal, the Holy Spirit is eternal. He is the same God with all the attributes but with a different function. The Son is the Word, and the visible form of God, and the Holy Spirit does the work. Also the Hebrew term "echad" means plurality in unity. Jesus is not a created being, in Colossians 1:16-17 Paul explains about this. The Bible also teaches that Jesus is fully human and fully God. There are 3 main things that characterize God: God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a person, He is the third person of the trinity. The Holy Spirit becomes sad, if He becomes sad He is a person, He is not an energy. The Holy Spirit manifested himself at the baptism of Jesus descending in the form of a dove. At Pentecost, the disciples felt his presence and a strong wind came up. However He is not a wind. The Bible says that He can be contrite (sad), therefore He has feelings and is a person.

The Holy Spirit, being a person, has attributes in His personality: He has intellect, will, sensitivity (He grieves; He gives revelation, teaches, intercedes for us, and speaks. He is also our Comforter.)

The Bible talks about the 7 spirits of God. It is not that there are 7 spirits, but that there are 7 qualities or manifestations of the Holy Spirit. In Isaiah 11:2, we see 7 qualities of the Holy Spirit manifested in the messiah, and we can also have it because we fear Him: Spirit of YHVH, Spirit of wisdom, spirit of advice , Spirit of knowledge, Spirit of fear of YHVH, Spirit of power, Spirit of intelligence. Seven represents the number of perfection. Also here are manifest seven festivals of the people of Israel and in each one a prophetic fulfillment has occurred: 1. Passover, 2. Unleavened Bread, 3. Firstfruits, 4. Pentecost, 5. Trumpets, 6. Atonement, 7. Trumpets .

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are nine. They are service training. The Spiritual Gifts are distributed in gifts of revelation or knowledge: word of wisdom, word of knowledge and discernment of spirits; of power: healings, faith, Miracles; of inspiration: prophecy, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

The ministerial gifts are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers. The word apostle means missionary (Latin) and refers more to the service they did than to the title. The gifts cannot be well established in a person who does not have the character of Christ.

The symbology of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God, He is a person and has all the divine attributes. In the symbology of the Holy Spirit there are 7 symbols that help us understand more about his character and his work: the dove, the fire, the wind, the wine, the seal of the Holy Spirit, the deposit of the Spirit, and the oil. For example, just as the wind cleanses the air and gives life, the Holy Spirit gives breath and life, and cleanses the person. Water also gives life, rivers of living water. Fire has to do with the purifying aspect and is related to the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The seal of the Holy Spirit is internal, it is an internal mark with which he seals his own at the moment we accept Christ as our personal Savior. The arras as a guarantee and anticipation of the superior blessings of the future. The oil a symbol of the consecration of the believer to the service of God.

The titles of the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of YHWH is the most frequent title in the Old Testament. In the New Testament the Comforter, Helper, Counselor, Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, justice and judgment. It is important to know the titles of the Holy Spirit because that way we know and better understand his work; and it is what God has delegated to us as believers.

The coming of the Holy Spirit was prophesied and it was a promise. The Holy Spirit has effects on the believer: It sanctifies him, there is rectitude of moral conduct (in all aspects): the Holy Spirit enters and justifies the person before the Father, we are regenerated (born again) and sanctified.

SALVATION

When you accepted Jesus as your Savior, it was by grace through faith, not by works so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith; and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one can boast."

Then your works do not save you, they are only for rewards in eternity, when we are with Jesus.

However, it is necessary to take care of your salvation as the most precious gift. There are erroneous doctrines that teach that salvation cannot be loose, and that once saved always saved. But the Bible can never be contradicted, and speaks that salvation cannot be lost. It is like someone gave you a very valuable gift, and the simple fact of receiving it does not mean that you cannot lose it! you have to take care of it with fear and trembling as the Apostle Paul says.

Philippians 2:12

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,

Jesus himself said it and it was recorded in the Bible in Revelation 3:5 (in a message to the church, to the Christians) where Jesus says that the name of a person written down in the book of life can be erased in the case of those born again Christians who sin and then do not repent and do not watch and do not know that the Lord can come at any time without warning.

The warning given by the Lord Jesus himself in Revelation 3: 5 that the name of a person who has been written down in the book of life can become blotted out, is a true warning, given by the Lord Jesus, God made flesh. and bone, so for those who say that it cannot be true, it is worth remembering that it is true God and every man is a liar (Romans 3: 4) and that this true warning comes from Jesus, God the Son the Faithful and True as he is called in Revelation 19.11.

Hebrews 10: 26-31

Warning to those who sin deliberately

For if we sin voluntarily after having received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and boiling fire that will devour the adversaries. 28 Whoever violates the law of Moses, by the testimony of two or three witnesses, dies irretrievably. How much greater punishment do you think he deserves who tramples on the Son of God, and regards as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and offends the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said: Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And again: The Lord will judge his people. It is a horrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God!

However, God is merciful to forgive and never casts away a repentant person. If you are saved because you accepted Jesus and you fell into sin or you feel that you committed a fault, or you turned away from God, do not feel condemned but rather get closer to Him, return to your ways and sin no more. Remember, God is merciful to forgive if you repent from the heart. We are not perfect, but we try not to deliberately practice sin and consider the blood of the covenant unclean.

1 John 2:1

Christ, our advocate

My little children, these things I write to you so that you do not sin; And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Remember, God never casts out a repentant person. That is why he gave us his Son Jesus for salvation.
