Footprints on the Sand
One night a man dreamed that he was walking along the beach with Our Lord. Scenes from his life appeared in the sky with two sets of footprints in the sand: one of his and the other of the Lord. When the last scene appeared in front of him, he turned his gaze back and noticed that many times in the path of his life there was only one series of footprints in his saddest and most depressed moments. This bothered him so much that he asked: Lord, you told me that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me the whole distance but I have noticed that in the most difficult moments of my life there was only a series of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you left me alone." The Lord answered him: "My son, I love you and I have never abandoned you. In your moments of trial and suffering, when you only saw a series of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

The faith that gives you the certainty that if you repent and accept God with all your heart, Jesus forgives your sins, He writes your name in the book of life and you begin to be part of the family of God.
